The 78th annual Hanover Ag Fair was a beautiful weekend filled with arts, culture, heritage, entertainment and community.

We were thrilled to welcome guests from all over Manitoba to Hanover Ag Exhibition Park over our 4 day weekend.

Hanover Ag's Bull Riders Canada Invitational

Hanover Ag’s Bull Riders Invitational presented by Steinbach Feeds was another successful event at the Keystone Agri-Motive Livestock Arena. Thanks to Bull Riders Canada and Crossfire Bullriding for their partnership.

Headliner Concert

Our day took a turn when it became apparent that George Canyon would not be able to board a plane for Winnipeg as the Toronto Pearson Airport where he was waiting with his gear in hand would be shutting down totally due to weather in the area.

Our team got to work – making the calls, sending the text messages, planning, troubleshooting, deliberating – all the fun parts of event management rolled into one! With few options at our disposal, our planned opener for the concert- Emma Peterson told us she had an idea and asked us to hang tight…. sure, no problem, Emma…

As it turns out, Emma was already travelling with two extraordinary talented friends and had a couple of her band members able to spring into action. With that- our night was saved and a new Headliner concert emerged – Emma Peterson featuring Jade Turner and Derek Peters presented by Big Freight Systems Inc.!

Kevin Toews Memorial Arm Wresting Competition

The arm wrestling competition is a tried and true Fair favourite. This is the second year since the event has been renamed to honour one of the past organizers, Kevin Toews.

We are fortunate to now have Billy Berg and his team organize and run the event currently. They are a great group dedicated to the sport of arm wrestling in Manitoba and beyond.

Front Porch Jam

The Fairway Ford Mainstage was jam-packed with action at the Hanover Ag Fair! Particularly so on Saturday afternoon for the Front Porch Jam!

A showcase for local talent putting a spotlight on their artistic ability, culture and traditions. We were honoured to have such amazing Manitoba talent perform for us. Thank you to Rylee Sandberg, By Request, Metis Prairie Steppers, Rozmai Ukrainian Dancers, LMNK, Yaadies and J. Doe Trio!

Mud Bog

Presented by Southwood Ventures Inc.

As always, the Mud Bog is a crowd favourite! Who doesn’t love to watch some big trucks rip through the mud, getting stuck, and making a big ol’ mess?! The Southwood Ventures crew did a fantastic job readying the mud bog track this year and as always, were on hand to come to the rescue of any stuck participants. What would we do without them?!

As a special treat this year, we had some Superheroes there who wanted to come and chat with the little ones in the crowd during the breaks between runs. What a special treat!
