Dream catchers are traditional handmade willow hoops woven with a web or net, often decorated with sacred items like feathers and beads. They originate from the Ojibwe culture as protective charms hung over infants' beds to filter dreams.
Finger weaving is an ancient, loom-free textile technique using continuous warp and weft threads to create intricate sashes, belts, and bands. Key cultural traditions include Indigenous, Métis, and Haudenosaunee practices, and common patterns feature the arrowhead, diagonal, and lightning designs.
